Wedding MBA

I heard a great quote at the Wedding MBA today from Peter Merry.

"If you don't have the honor and integrity to learn your craft...you don't belong in this industry".

How true is that! I wish every start up wedding vendor would heed this advice! How many vendors out there really don't know their craft and yet they call themselves professionals! Where is the honor and integrity?

Lyndsay & Patrick 9/20/08

Lyndsay & Patrick had a beautiful vintage inspired wedding at The Renaissance Vinoy in St. Pete. Her gown was one of the most beautiful I have seen in a while and both families were amazingly supportive and fun. After a beautiful mass at St. Raphael Church they rode in a vintage rolls to the reception where the guests danced the night away with great food and a vintage photo booth. I especially enjoyed working with Limelight photography and Voila Creative Video.

Wedding Planner soap box meeting

What a great gathering we had today. About 26 wedding planners from the Tampa Bay area gathered at The Palm Restaurant in the Westshore Mall to chat about getting on the same page - both literally and metaphorically. We discussed pricing, training the up-and-coming, advertising and much more. It was so great to brainstorm on how we can grow our industry and support each other. I really appreciate everyones willingness to share openly and ask silly questions; not to mention letting me get on my soap box and run my mouth off about my opinions! We decided that we want to have a double page ad in Bride's Florida advertising the importance of hiring a PROFESSIONAL Wedding Planner. Stay tuned for a copy of the ad we generate!
